FOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS TEACHERS
Teachers committed to educational innovation, interested in offering their students practical experiences that connect science and technology with real life. They often work with diverse groups, often with limited resources, and are looking for tools that motivate, facilitate active learning, and STEM.
FOR HEADS of secondary education CENTERS
Focused on promoting projects that improve the educational quality and equity of the center. Initiatives such as Techlabs are an opportunity to improve the inclusion opportunities of their students, as well as a way to modernize the training offer and strengthen the educational community.
The Techlab methodology
The TechLab methodology, developed within the DIDACTECH project, is an educational strategy aimed at promoting science and technology in secondary education. It is implemented through the creation of TechLabs—3D printing technology laboratories where students learn by doing. In these labs, students work on real projects, such as 3D design and printing, to develop STEM skills in a practical way, while experimenting, collaborating, and applying knowledge to real-life situations.
This approach democratizes access to technological innovation and uses it as a tool for inclusion, motivation, and personal development. In addition, the TechLab acts as a cross-curricular hub within the school, integrating different subjects and activities, with ongoing support and training for teachers, as well as collaboration with external experts.
It also incorporates a strong social dimension, as the products created are shared with other schools—especially those in disadvantaged contexts—promoting values such as solidarity, equity, and social commitment.
A methodology that transforms learning
TechLab turns the classroom into a space where students:
- Learn by designing, creating, and experimenting
- Apply STEM knowledge to real-world challenges
- Work collaboratively and develop key competences
- Engage with technology such as 3D design and printing
