Environmental sustainability is one of the cross-cutting principles of DIDACTECH. Throughout the project, we have incorporated sustainable practices both in educational centres and technology companies, paying particular attention to the responsible use of resources, the reduction of waste and energy consumption, and the use of digital solutions that can help reduce the use of materials.

This approach is also present in the Techlabs, where technology and digital fabrication are used as an opportunity to work on sustainability in a practical way. Students not only learn how to use new tools, but also how to make more responsible decisions about materials, the design of parts, energy consumption and the management of the waste generated.

To support the continued use of these practices beyond the project, we have developed two specific dossiers: one for educational centres and another for technology companies. They provide guidelines and examples for incorporating sustainable practices into everyday activities, covering areas such as energy efficiency, reducing paper use, waste management, sustainable materials, mobility and training.
